About
I'm Bijan — a poet, rapper, musician, and software engineer from Austin, Texas.
For over a decade I worked as a senior site reliability engineer, writing code and keeping complex systems running. It was good work, and I'm grateful for what it taught me about discipline, problem-solving, and building things that last.
But in 2023, something shifted. I started making space for the parts of myself I'd been putting off — writing poetry, studying languages, practicing yoga, and exploring the world with less of a plan and more of an open heart.
In December 2024 I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and graduated from Wat Po massage school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Since August 2025 I've been living in Bali, Indonesia — writing, creating, and building JADI, a project close to my heart.
My first language was Persian Azeri, which I understand a great deal. I am actively learning Indonesian. Learning to speak someone else's language is one of the most generous things you can do.
This site is where I share what I'm thinking about — through poetry, essays, and eventually music. If any of it resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
